Notes on the Omega CN7500
Temperature Process Controller
For protecting cold seal furnaces from overcurrent

- For protecting the ovens from excessive current/temperature
- Operation completely independent of LabView/computers
- Alarm is ON (circuit closed) during normal operation
- Alarm OFF (circuit open) if 980°C T limit reached
- Trips relay controlling AC current to oven if 980°C T limit reached

- Home display setpoint is meaningless. Need to access the ALARM menu to adjust the setpoint.
- To access ALARM menu, push index button until “AL 1L” and its setpoint temperature is displayed.
- If change setpoint in ALARM menu, also change meaningless home display to same temperature for quick and easy reference at a glance, and because OCD.
- If thermocouple becomes unplugged, then alarm off, alarm circuit open, relay open, oven off.
- If thermocouple is re-plugged, alarm LED on, but circuit stays open and relay cannot be reset.
- If relay cannot be reset, unplug controller from AC line and plug back in again. Should reset so that alarm on, and circuit closed.
