Announcements

NEW 10/24 - The quiz grades for quiz #3 have been updated to reflect credit for two possible correct answers.

10/10/04: Someone asked in class on Thursday about THC (the chemical in marijuana that is responsible for its effects, including increased appetite) and whether it acts on the hypothalamus. I looked it up, and it turns out there are receptors for "endogenous cannabinoids" (the official name for substances made by your body that resemble THC in their chemical structure). Good question - way to integrate concepts!
