Problems for 13 May 1996

You can hand in the following problems at beginning of class on Monday 13 May. If you have more than one page, please staple them together. And don't forget to include your name. Also, please write at the top near your name that these are the problems for 13 May.

Reading: Chapter 24, Black Holes. Questions: 24-2, 24-4, 24-9. (But see Friday's lecture for 24-9!). There is more detail in this chapter than we are covering. You should use this chapter as background and explanation for the lectures.

Reading: Chapter 26, Galaxies. Questions: 26-3, 26-4, 26-9, 26-10. You should read about the Hubble Law; we will discuss it next week and I will assign some questions about it for the following Monday.
