Greek natural philosophy

Greek civilization was centered around the Aegean Sea.
Most important cities were Athens and Sparta

• ~ 800 BC Iliad, Odyssey epic poems.
• ~ 550 BC Pythagoras mathematician.
• ~ 400's BC democratic Athens.
• ~ 400 BC Sophocles, Socrates philosophers.
• ~ 400 BC Peloponnesian Wars.
• ~ 300's BC Plato, Eudoxus , Aristotle , philosophers.
• ~ 300 BC Alexander the Great conquers vast territories.
