Essentially a yo-yo with a slightly different configuration. Wind the strings up on the axle (with each turn to the inside of the previous) and let go. When it reaches the bottom it will climb nearly as high as its beginning point. Be sure that the strings are of equal length to ensure proper operation. Also check that they wind towards the center to keep the strings on the axle.
