Homework Assignments
We will be using a Web Based Homework system call Mastering Physics. You will submit all your homework answers via computer. Many of the problems are directly from the textbook. Mastering Physics will give quick feedback to homework questions. You will will be allowed 6 attempts to submit a correct answer to problems. THE DUE DATES ARE SET AND NO LATE HOMEWORK WILL BE GRADED. Homeworks due on MONDAYS at 11:45am.. ß Due Dates may change if the lectures fall behind. Note: the values in the problems on the web question will be different for each student. If you figure out how to solve the problem as a group, you will still have to calculate your values for your own answer.

(As stated in the first assignment, Mastering Physics will default to 3 Sig Figs unless it gives a statement that it wants something other than 3 sig figs.)

You will see 1 Introcuction assignment and then 10 Homework assignments. These assignments have problems from the book and guided problems writtn by Mastering Physics. There is also a connection to an ecopy of the book in case you don't have your book with you while working on the homework.The table below shows problems assigned for this term. Questions(Q) are an aid to help you think about the concepts being studied. Unless included in the Mastering Physics homework, they will not be graded, but do them because they will assist in your understanding of the material and studying for exams. These questions may also be discussed in lecture.There will be a homework problems that will state (Hand In). Be sure to SHOW ALL WORK on these hand in problems. These will be problems from old exam to help you prepare for the exams. Some of these problems are mathematical analysis type problems They are due at the BEGINNING of the lecture on the assigned date.
