Australia 2018 Pictures

In September 2018 we travelled again to Australia, this time to visit old friends and take part in a tour in Croajingalong National Park on the coast east of Melbourne. The small-group tour was organized and led by Jenny Lawrence of Gippsland High Country Tours.

We spent three nights in an assistant lighthouse keeper's quarters at Point Hicks, the first place where Captain Cook sighted Australia. Then three more nights in more modern accommodations at Gipsy Point. Starting from these bases, we explored beaches, mountains and rain forests.

We were also able to visit the studio of an artist whose beautiful silk-screened tee shirts Leslie has been collecting. All in all, the trip was everything we could have hoped for.

As usual, the pictures here are only a few of the ones we took—this time with our iPhones— but we hope they give some sense of the overall experience.

The pictures are on DropBox, so click this link to get to DropBox and then click on a picture to enter the viewing process. To go back and forth, click on the < and > signs in the bar at the bottom of the screen. Firefox and Safari behave somewhat differently. Choosing Full Screen may give a pixellated result. Experiment to see what works best for you.

There are also a few short videos here.

We hope you enjoy sharing these experiences with us.
