Required work
•Undergraduates:
1. attendance and informed participation, very important = 20% of course grade;
2. a midterm exam on Wednesday, November 1 = 20%;
3. a final exam on Thursday, December 7 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. = 20%;
4. two analytical papers of approximately five pages each, based on the course readings, one in each half of the term (due dates: to be announced, topics and instructions to be distributed) = 20% + 20%.
Please remember: attendance at discussions and informed participation in them are key—and required—parts of this course.
