Payroll Updates

The time entry window opens tomorrow, January 17, 2008, at 8 am.

Unclassified Salary:

- Before you begin time entry, we recommend that you run a roster in 
PWIPAYR to review the salary increase upload process for accuracy.  You 
may also review new salary information in PWIVERI.
- PRFs that are generated now with an effective date greater than or 
equal to 1/1/08 should have the new rate listed.  PRFs that are generated 
from PWIVERI and appointments generated in PWAAPPT should automatically 
pull in the new rate.

Differential Pay Rate:

- The differential pay rate for SEIU classified employees increased 
from .50 cents to .75 cents on January 1st.
- Mid-month to mid-month hourly employees:  use the earn code DPP, 
"Differential pay, prior month" at the special rate of .50 cents for 
December hours.  DPP will default the 10435 account code.   Use the earn 
code DSH for January hours.

Minimum Pay Rate Changes (Student and Temporary Employees)
- There will be two time sheets in PHAHOUR for hourly employee with 
rate changes.
- Check the rate on the PHAHOUR time sheet before entering hours for 
appropriate month.

W-2 Information
- An unofficial version of the 2007 W-2 is now available in DuckWeb for 
employees.  The official copy will be mailed shortly, and a PAYNEWS 
announcement will be sent.

Address Updates:
- It is now too late for us to change the address on the W-2 forms. 
However, please encourage employees to update mailing addresses on 
DuckWeb.  This will assist us in promptly forwarding W-2 that are 
returned to our office.
