payroll: Furlough Beginning Balances and Default Option Calculations

The Payroll Office has created a spreadsheet that we will be sending out this afternoon and tomorrow morning to responsibility units.    We wanted to get this information to you as quickly as possible.  All recent reclassifications, promotions, or roll-back of step increases within the past three months will be reviewed this week by HR staff for accuracy, and the Payroll Office will be updating employee records with the latest changes or corrections. If you do notice errors, please contact Joan Walker (jwalker@uoregon.edu) or Kerry Davis  (kldavis@uoregon.edu) in Human Resources.  
  
Each spreadsheet contains the following information that you may wish to share with your employees:

• Number of mandatory unpaid leave hours for the current fiscal year
(Beginning balances, calculated by tier, FTE, and annual basis)

• Default Option - the number of hours that pay will be reduced each month for the current fiscal year 
(You will note that June hours have been adjusted so that the totals will be correct.)

Please note that the annual basis (9-month or 12-month) and FTE are taken from Banner records.  If you have any concerns about the accuracy of the data, please contact Human Resources.
