payroll: Payroll Reminders

Work-Study:  If your department employs students with a Federal or UO Work-Study award, please be sure to run your Work-Study Report in PWIPAYR before the March time entry. Many students have now exhausted their available work-study funds. You may continue employing these students, however, your department is now responsible for 100% of their wages

Labor Distribution Changes :  The “quarterly lockout” is April 6th

Terminations /Resignations /Reductions in FTE:  Do not wait to send through the paperwork!  Every month, we see overpayments that could have been prevented if someone had notified payroll staff.  You may send an email or fax a copy of the revised PRF.  A heads-up is greatly appreciated.

Furloughs:  As stated in yesterday’s PAYNEWS, http://www.uoregon.edu/~paynews/payroll/msg00161.html  we are making a change this month in how we process hourly employees who are opt-out.  The change will result in underpayments to employees if the new procedures are not followed.
