Notes on the Milnor conjectures
Abstract:
This is a set of three informal lectures, by someone (me) who is not really an expert. I wanted to give a survey of Voevodsky's proof of the Milnor conjecture, readable by algebraic topologists, which would give a general sense of what the conjecture was about and how homotopy theory enters the picture. Probably I have failed, but oh well.
