I am interested in algebraic geometry and arithmetic geometry. My thesis project focuses on special cubic fourfolds and their Fano varieties of lines; some of the work generalizes results from the complex setting to arbitrary base fields. There are rich connections to abelian surfaces, K3 surfaces, and hyperkähler geometry.
