2D Drawing Project

Assignment Three

Objectives: Each student is responsible for creating a series of two-dimensional architectural drawings to scale which document a building or a fragment of a building in plan, section and elevation. All drawings should conform to standard architectural graphic conventions. Overall and critical dimensions should be shown.

For the subject matter of your drawing project, you may choose from the following:

  1. Timberline Lodge
  2. Interior Restaurant Design within a given corner site
  3. A building, room, or object which complements another course of study. The project will be evaluated on how well it communicates, its degree of technical difficulty, and the aesthetics of the presentation.

    Arrange your drawings to fit on a series of 8 1/2 x 11 or 11 x 17 sheets. Hand-in your files to the course disk to the Assign 3 folder using your login + 3 + "p" for plan, "e" for elevation, "s" for section, etc. such as: nywcheng-3p.dwg, nywcheng-3e1.dwg, nywcheng-3e2.dwg, etc.

    Hand-out: April 8, 7p.m.
    Hand-in: April 22, 7 p.m.
