The EDC library houses our extensive collection of books and periodicals focused on sustainable design. The library is open to the community and is located in our main office at 381B Lawrence Hall.

Books can be checked out on a weekly basis with either a $50 deposit or a university ID.

American Institute of Architects

The AIA is the voice of the architecture profession, dedicated to serving its members, advancing their value, and improving the quality of the built environment. The AIA offers “Knowledge Communities”: groups within the AIA for members who share a passion for a given topic, and who collaborate to deepen their understanding of that topic through ongoing learning and knowledge sharing. One of these Knowledge Communities includes the Committee on the Environment, or COTE.

American Society of Interior Designers

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is a nonprofit professional society representing the interests of interior designers and the interior design community. Membership is comprised of professionals in both residential and commercial design, and also includes membership opportunities for students.

American Society of Landscape Architects

The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) is the national professional association representing landscape architects. The ASLA has Professional Interest Groups devoted to certain “hot” topics in the landscape architecture industry, such as the Sustainable Design and Development group.

A&AA Board of Visitors Professional Connections

The Board of Visitors (BOV) is an advisory group of distinguished University of Oregon alumni and friends representing the departments and programs of the School of Architecture and Allied Arts. Members of the board are accomplished professionals from throughout the Pacific Northwest and California with a shared commitment to make themselves available as professional resources for students and faculty.
