Congratulations, the curator has selected you to join a group of artists whose work will be displayed on the cafeteria wall!  Each artist will use one perspective sketch and one section drawing to generate graphically bold images that can be printed in silk screen. As the curator is interested in seeing alternative moods for the cafeteria, each artist is asked to submit variations of the images.

Purpose

• To show how abstraction can be a powerful design and presentation tool
• To introduce the use of Illustrator as a design tool
• To use constraints of a limited palette as flat shapes as opportunities

Objectives

• To understand when and how to use vector vs. pixel graphics
• To learn basics of color manipulations
• To combine graphics from multiple sources into a coherent composition
