The Museum is planning an exhibit about architecture.  The curator would like to feature architectural models that explain how buildings work. He would like to show the buildings as massing with an emphasis on underlying geometry.  To complement this abstract view, he wants to reveal the structure of the buildings.  The curator would like you to create an example of what these exhibit pieces will look like. Your job is to

Purpose

• To foster spatial explorations using 3D modeling as part of an architects "toolbox"
• To use modeling to study the relationship between external envelope and structure
• To introduce further design tools of SketchUp

• To organize a model using layers, nested symbols and groups
• To build a model with precision using dimensions, object snaps, angle snaps and coordinate systems
