Raytek Temperature Gun: this piece of equipment is used to measure surface temperatures of a given material by way of its lazer sighting, which allows you to spot a given point, then take an accurate temperature reading of up to one degree Fahrenheit. Our device was configured for a standard grade concrete. |

In order to provide us with a more consistant accuracy, temperatures were taken from hip-height, aimed directly down (or with the beam perpendicular to the concrete). The lazer markings themselves were taken approximately 2" below each chalk mark for fear of a minor interference with the materiality of the chalk. |
