Subject

The Subject layout is used to create or include subject headings, or phrases that describe what the work is about or depicts. They do NOT describe the work itself. These terms combine with the GeneralSubject terms for export and therefore should not be repetitive.

Please note that the online version of LCSAF omits dashes from the authority records for terms. Dashes (--) should be added to compound terms. These can be detected by the use of capitol letters after the first word. For example, “Nubia Civilization” becomes “Nubia--Civilization”.
