About This Print

This bijin kuchi-e with its characteristic tri-fold, is bound into the April 1918 issue of the popular women's magazine Fujin sekai (Women's World). This bijin kuchie serves as an illustration for the 5th installment of the serialized novel Reishō by Tengai Kosugi 小杉天外 (1865-1912) which ran in the magazine prior to its publication in three volumes from 1919 to 1921.
