About This Print

A large dai-oban size posthumous print after Yumeji's 1921 original watercolor [shown below] painted by the artist as part of a group of ten watercolors commissioned by the Nagasaki collector Nagami Tokutarō.1

This collection's print is one of a series of ten prints titled Ten Subjects of Women issued by the Tokyo publisher Takamizawa.  Takamizawa issued a complete set of the ten prints making up the series in a numbered limited edition of 200 copies in 1993.  This collection's print is not from that original edition of 200, but from a likely later edition of 280 prints.

The complete set of 10 prints as issued by Takamizawa in 1993
