Engraving

This is the first engraving that I have done. Engraving is the printmaking method where on uses a tool called a burin to gouge a groove into a copper plate. After one has finished gouging out the lines one smears ink all over the plate. Next one wipes the plate to remove all the ink that is not in a groove, now the plate can be printed.
