Devil's Punchbowl State Natural Area

Devil's Punchbowl State Natural Area is a small Oregon State Park with beach accesses  53  and  53A , and a view of the fascinating Devil's Punchbowl, a wave-washed collapsed sea cave.  Devil's Punchbowl is located in the town of Otter Rock, along OR 182 Otter Crest Loop off US 101 north of Newport in Lincoln County, Oregon.

The Devil's Punchbowl is well worth the visit, but parking is not plentiful in this tiny town -- there is a parking lot a few blocks to the northeast, which also offers a trail down to the  53  Marine Gardens, a rocky cove and tidepools north of the town and park.   53A  on the south side of the headland leads to the long beach to the south.  Or, you can hike a mile or two along the beach to Devil's Punchbowl from Beverly Beach State Park  54  to the south.

The beach stretches about five miles southward from here, past Beverly Beach and Moolack Beach  55  toward Yaquina Head with its rugged lighthouse.  Offshore are the sea stacks marking the Otter Rock Marine Reserve, and the vast restless Pacific Ocean beyond.
