Owen is a Postbaccalaureate Research Associate at the Univsersity of Utah studying high-energy transients under the supervision of Professor Tanmoy Laskar.
He earned his B.S. in Physics from the University of Oregon in 2025, where he conducted research under Professor Yvette Cendes and Dr. Scott Fisher. His work spanned radio and optical astronomy, including the use of the Very Large Array to study late-time radio emission from Type Ia supernovae, as well as follow-up observations for NASA’s TESS mission using the 0.35 m robotic telescope at Pine Mountain Observatory.
