The Assignment is described in Chapter 10 on page 398 of Patton & Sawicki. Key information follows:

The assignment is worth 5 percent of your final grade. I’ll grade your papers on a 10-point scale. In terms of structure, you should:

1. Present your response in a memo to me
2. Include a background statement describing the issue;
3. Use appropriate tables or graphs illustrating relevant data;
4. Identify at least three possible courses of action; and
5. Provide a clear recommendation, with supporting discussions and rationale.

You should spend no more than 4-5 hours on this assignment. Keep your memorandum to five or fewer single-spaced pages. Please use a type face of 11-point or larger.
