HOBO installed on underside of bleacher

Installing the exterior HOBO
We gathered our data from HOBO data collectors that we placed throughout the pool area, as well as one on the exterior of the building. We placed the HOBOs over two distinct time periods (series), because of the limited availability and short check-out period of equipment from Baker Lighting Lab.

Equipment

HOBO dataloggers: 1-channel (Temp), 2-channel (Temp, RH) and 3-channel (Temp, RH, Incident Light), recording data at 2.5 minute intervals.

Series 1: Seven Temp/Rh HOBOs; One Light/Temp/Rh HOBO
Series 2: Five Temp/Rh HOBOs; One Temp HOBO

The two data collection series had slightly different equipment sets, because of equipment availability.

Series 1: We installed 7 HOBOs inside the structure and one outside. Of the indoor HOBOs, five were placed under the bleachers, out of direct sunlight, on the East and West sides of the pool room. One was installed on the south column near the spa pool. The last was installed on the north central column near the slide. The HOBOs were set to record temperature and relative humidity every 2.5 minutes. Outside the building, a HOBO was placed on an east facing column to measure incident light, as an indication of insolation on the East glazing, as well as exterior Temp and RH.

Series 2: As a result of difficulties obtaining functional equipment, we only placed five HOBOs inside the building. We duplicated Series 1 HOBO placement on the West, Center and Exterior, but placed one HOBO on the East side of the pool area.
