Abstract
Introduction

1. During the late fall months of 2003, the physical conditions in the DCL proved to be largely outside of the comfort zone, thereby proving our hypothesis.

2. Large areas of single-paned glazing allows heat to escape the DCL through conduction, and due to the small size of the room, the entire space is rapidly affected by this heat loss.

3. Placement of the thermostat outside of the affected room is poor planning. The thermostat runs based on the temperature of an entirely different room, which happens to have a large mechanical closet in it.
