Abstract
The Departmental Computer Lab is located in Room 283 of Lawrence Hall on the University of Oregon campus, in Eugene, Oregon. This space was the result of a partial remodel to Lawrence Hall, thus inheriting some characteristics of its previous use. It is comprised of two zones. The north zone is comprised of two exterior walls, a party wall, a 16’x 5’-6” single-pane glazing, and an 18’ double height ceiling. It serves four computer stations and a scanner. Four compact fluorescent bulbs light the space. From within this zone, the occupant can look up to see the windowed offices of the mezzanine above. Two large return-air ducts penetrate the space.
