payroll: Recent Paynews Sent to OCCU Direct Depositors
One year out, Oregon Community Credit Union (OCCU) is still manually
posting direct deposits each payday for all UO employees who have not
updated their bank account numbers in DuckWeb. Within the past month,
there have been a few problems when employees received payments from both
A/P and Payroll. A/P received notice that the bank account was invalid.
This past Friday, the Payroll Office sent a targeted email (see copy
below) via PAYNEWS to individual employees who still have "member numbers"
on DuckWeb. Apparently, some employees are not familiar with PAYNEWS
and some have questioned the legitimacy of our email. We ask your
assistance in letting employees know that this is how the Payroll Office
communicates electronically with campus.
It is not critical that changes be made for the June payroll. However, we
encourage employees to update their bank account numbers on DuckWeb in the
next few weeks. Also, employees who need assistance with DuckWeb may
contact payroll staff at 6-3151.

In March 2009, Oregon Community Credit Union (OCCU) changed all
individual bank account numbers to 10-digits to ensure better safety and
privacy. OCCU does not plan to provide the UO Payroll Office with the
new account numbers any time soon. As it stands, we are unable to
update your direct deposit account information on BANNER.
Therefore, we ask that you update your OCCU bank account numbers via
DuckWeb as soon as possible, replacing the old "Member Number" with the
new 10-digit number. This will ensure direct deposits on manual checks
processed by the Payroll Office or any reimbursements from Accounts
Payable will not reject.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Go to DuckWeb:
- On-campus, type "DuckWeb" in your browser
- Off-campus, go to the UO Home Page, and under Current Students or
Faculty and Staff, select the DuckWeb link.
- Or type https://duckweb.uoregon.edu/pls/prod/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin in
browser.
- Next select Employee Information, then Direct Deposit.
Employees will have to enter the new account information twice - for
both Payroll and Employee Reimbursements direct deposits (such as travel
reimbursements from Accounts Payable or refunds on student accounts
processed by Student Billing).
Ignore any leading zeros printed on your checks, since all new accounts
begin with a 1 (one).
1. First, find the "Payroll Deposit: Update" link - You will need to
inactivate the current record, and then initiate a new record. Indicate
100 percent, if all of your paycheck goes to a single account.
2. Next Select "Employee Reimbursements: Update" link - Again, you will
need to inactive the current record, before initiating the new record.
