We fielded three surveys specifically about the extent to which people would be willing to bear the costs of climate change mitigation: (a) a prelimiary pencil-and-paper survey distributed to economics undergraduate students in multiple sections of Microeconomic Principles, (b) an first-generation independently coded online survey distributed to undergraduate students at selected university campuses across the U.S. and Canada, and (c) a mail survey distributed to a nationwide general population sample. This research was funded in part by a grant from the National Science Foundation. This project includes other research, related to climate change but not utilizing any of these three surveys.
