Introduction
The media
The types of media used in the presenting the information
on the web can be divided into four major categories:
text-based, 2-D images, and 3-D models.
Text-based: text typed in the html format, text typed
in acrobat format.
2-D images: analog, digital, or the combination of two.
3-D models: Gif animation, Movie, and VRML.
The method
The methods to present the media can be any of the three,
or the combination of any of the three. However, the method
is not limited to the combinations of the three but opened
up to have special effects such as adding Java Applets
as well as data base.
This
report is an attempt to lightly and briefly introduce
different methods and media found on the net and analyzes
the advantages and disadvantages of each method and media.
The new technologies appear to the market in every day;
this report will cover a fraction of the technologies
applied to the internet media presentation.
