Since November 1992 I’ve been privileged to serve as the Director of Communications for the Oregon Bach Festival, an international music extravaganza based at the University of Oregon and led by conductor Helmuth Rilling of Stuttgart, Germany.


Growing up as a sports nut 3,000 miles away in New Jersey, I was spellbound watching the Olympic Track and Field Trials. I looked up “Eugene” on a map, and subconsciously took the first steps of my own personal Oregon Trail.


Away from the Festival, I create marketing and advertising programs for a small but loyal band of private clients.


Professionally, I’m fascinated by the rational and (often, irrational) psychology that leads to preferences for brands. But mostly, I love the challenge of creating “poetry for commerce” — the crafty stories and images that arouse interest and create connections between people and experiences.
