ALCPG11 - General Information

The 2011 Linear Collider Workshop of the Americas will meet at the University of Oregon, Eugene, on March 19-23 in the Erb Memorial Union.

Conference Venue
The workshop will be held in the Erb Memorial Union (EMU) on the campus of the University of Oregon, Eugene. For more information see the campus map:

Registration Fees and Deadlines
The registration fee for the workshop is $425. The companion charge for registration and participation in the social events is $95. All registration fees must be paid in USD.


Please register by Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Registration fees will increase to $485 after this date.


Check-In
There will be an early check-in on Friday, March 18 in the atrium of Willamette Hall (across 13th Street from the EMU) from 17:00 to 20:00. Check-in will resume at 07:30 on Saturday, March 19 in the EMU at the registration desk. The registration desk is also your main point where you can get help at any time. It is located on the 2nd floor of the EMU, near the Ballroom.

Computing
There will be internet access on campus for workshop registrants. You will receive information on how to connect to the wireless network, along with your user name and password, in your registration packet. In addition a limited number of PCs with internet connections will be provided.

Format of Presentations
Talks must be uploaded (in pdf format) on the conference indico agenda server at least 24 hrs before the session. For more information about the agenda server speakers should contact their session chairpersons.

Student Rec Center
Workshop attendees will be given access to the Student Rec Center (SRC) by showing a workshop badge. Participants can purchase a guest pass for the usual fee of $6.00/day. Climate
The weather in Eugene in mid March is wet and mild. Average maximum temperature is around 57oF (14oC) and average minimum temperature around 37oF (3oC). The average rainfall is 5.8 inches for the month of March.
