About This Print
One of seven prints by the artist that appeared in the magazine Shin Nigao whose purpose was to advertise the Kabuki theater and renew interest in actor prints. This print, appearing in the second issue of the magazine, published in July 1915, depicts the actor Ichikawa Shōchō II 市川松蔦 (1886-1940) in the role of Omatsu in an unknown play.
