About This Print

This song sheet, Senow No. 1038, was issued in 1926 by the music publisher Senow Ongaku Shuppansha.  The artist Takehisa Yumeji (1884-1934) designed around 280-300 covers for Senow, this one being for the song Oki-no-kamone ni by the composer and conductor Yamada Kōsaku1 山田 耕筰 (1886-1965.)  This particular grahic design was used on a number of different Senow song sheet covers in the series "Yamada Gakfu."

1 His name is sometimes seen in its westernized version of Kósçak Yamada.
