About This Print
This song sheet, Senow No. 623, was issued in 1925 by the music publisher Senow Ongaku Shuppansha. The artist Takehisa Yumeji (1884-1934) designed around 280-300 covers for Senow, this one being for the song Album Leaf by the Russian composer and pianist Alexander Scriabin(e) (1872-1915.) This particular cover design was used on a number of different Senow song sheets of music scores for the violin1, one of which, Senow NO. 564 "Spanish Dance," is in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston 2007.982.Senoo (Senow) Kōjirō
