About This Print

This print was issued in 1963 by the publisher Katō Junji as part of a set of five small woodblock prints by Yumeji titled Legends of Snowy Nights.  As with the print Cove of Oranges, also part of this issue, it is likely that all the designs were originally created as book illustrations by Yumeji.  For another print in this set see Village in Spring.  For a picture of all the prints in this set also see Cove of Oranges.
