Devil's Churn is a rugged and spectacular slot in the basaltic cliffs at Cape Perpetua, where the eternal restless energy of the ocean waves is concentrated by the narrowing rocks. A visitor center with parking and rest rooms adjoins the highway near milepost 166 on US 101 on the Oregon coast, south of Yachats. A network of trails traverses a deeply forested headland above crashing surf. A paved trail with stairs descends to the cove and the sheet of basalt rock extending into the ocean. The beach access number is 78 . The Restless Waters trail connects to Cove Beach 79 .
This is one of many must-see attractions in the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area.
