In 1993, the School of Journalism and Communication began publishing Flux. Since then, it has repeatedly proven itself to be one of the most engaging, impressive, and admired student magazines in the country. Etude publishes new and emerging voices in literary nonfiction as well as author interviews, book reviews and columns on the art and craft of writing. The publication specializes in narrative nonfiction and literary reportage, in good stories well told. Etude is published four times a year by the Literary Nonfiction program at the School of Journalism and Communication, University of Oregon.
