PLEASE NOTE: THIS SERIES OF INSTITUTES HAS BEEN COMPLETED. THE FINAL ACTIVITIES FOR 2005-2008 PARTICIPANTS WERE THE ABPFI SYMPOSIA AT THE WASHINGTON, DC (FEBRUARY, 2010) AND PORTLAND, OR (JULY, 2010) NATIONAL AAPT MEETINGS.

A series of one-week summer institutes and follow-up activities for college and university faculty who wish to change their students' physics learning environment to a more active one. All Summer Institutes have already been offered Summers 2005-08 at Dickinson College and University of Oregon. Followup ABPFI Symposia were be held at the national AAPT meetings in 2009, Winter in Chicago and Summer in Ann Arbor and in 2010, Winter in Washington, DC and Summer in Portland, OR.
