South glazing:
This data shows the illuminance conditions provided by the exterior windows in the south wall of the room. On a sunny day, the size of this window along with the effect of the light shelf provides adequate illumination throughout most of the room, even without the other sources. The illumination is over 200 footcandles near the windows and close to 30 further away from the windows. On a cloudy day, however, light levels are very low, peaking only at 7 footcandles.
