Cleven & Mark's Trip to Tanzania

Trip & arrival Week-2 Week3 Week4&5

We last visited my family in Tanzania 6 years ago, 1999. It was at this time, that our oldest son Mark (12 years old now) joined us in the US. We have not gone back since. I have missed very much my other family in Tanzania and I'm excited that I will be going back June 15th 2005. In the summer 2001, we were blessed with my parents visit to Eugene. It was fun. This time we are hoping to reconnect with many family members we haven't seen for long time. Unfortunately, all of our family could not go at this time. April, Nehemia and baraka will stay in Eugene and "hold the fort," and Mark and I will fly to Tanzania.

Weather: Kilimanjaro International Aiport (JRO) is about 20 minutes from my parent's house. Moshi, is my home town and is about 35 minutes from my parent's house. (I will most likely send emails from this town) My parent's house is about 4,500 ft in the slopes of Kilimanjaro and overcast most of the time. The weather is suprisingly similar to Eugene - and lots of vegitation, hills and rivers. Weather Underground has good info on weather in Kilimanjaro.
