Invasive Species MonitoringOur secondary invasive species management study is designed to evaluate four treatment methods for controlling the spread of Herb Robert (Geranium Robertianum) and Nipplewort (Lapsana communis). A total of 125 edge plots were installed alongside a roadway and trail edge. Treatments were applied to each plot and stem counts for the invasives were conducted 6 weeks later to determine how effective each treatment was. In addition, this study looks at the spread of Herb Robert into the parkâs interior forest. Several transects were located at three separate sites to measure the spread of Herb Robert into the interior. Follow Treatment Study and Encroachment Study links at right for further details.
