Our
goal for the education component of this project is to provide information
to the community about illegal dumping, and why it should be prevented.
This website, as well as our final report, will provide this information.
Down
by the Riverside, a statewide program to promote community
involvement, helped clean 2,860 lbs of trash off public lands. This
event was organized by a partnership of individuals from the Middle
Fork of the Willamette Watershed Council, the SLP Program, US Forest
Service, Army Corps of Engineers, and Oregon State Parks.
Most sites
cleaned had been designated as illegal dump sites by the SLP Team
as part of this project. |
