SOME KEY CONCEPTS
RELATED TO THE STUDY OF "ENERGY ... AND POLITICS" [GO]
N=Just under 50 (a certain redundancy in the table listings)
This is a table that lists some “key concepts” (or features and descriptors)
related to the study of global energy and politics.
We will all constantly work to refine, to expand or to abridge this list,
first in connection with our massive "nrg&plt.news" page
which is often flagged with these coded key concepts.
The possibly most important key concepts are in bold font on column #2
Hypertext links are another sign of importance
Key words and codes not found here are on the nrg&plt Resource Page.
The relationship between this table, our readings and discussions is reciprocal =
(1) Our table should serve as a guide to us as we evaluate readings and extract useful information from them
(2) Reciprocally, readings and discussions will contribute to the evolution of our table
Some readings touch on many key concepts, some on few. Readings will touch on key concepts in many different ways. What differences do you see in our major readings (EG=Sampson.SEVEN, Yergin.PRIZE, Coll.PRIVATE) What key concepts are to be found in our readings? If we discover key concepts in our readings but not on our table, should our table be adjusted? Readings that touch on none or very few have to be interrogated.
Each entry (each row) on the table opens with a cell containing code or acronym which stands for the key concept that follows in the second cell on that row. In certain cases, hypertext links follow in the second cell to help expand on the meaning of the key concept.
These acronyms are useful because they often serve to flag our electronic webpages for purposes of easy FIND searches [ID].
