Yachats 804 Trail

TL;DR: The Yachats 804 Trail is a few miles of easy trail along the rocky shore.  The scenery is great, and it's a worthwhile walk for every visitor to Yachats.

Yachats, Oregon offers a marvelous network of walking trails in and around town.  One trail that is not to be missed is the Yachats 804 Trail, which runs along the bluff-top from Yachats State Recreation Area  76  northward to the long sandy beach north of town.  Along the way, the rocky shoreline offers clefts and spouting horn style surf features, and you'll pass Smelt Sands State Recreation Site  75 .  Another mile north, and the trail meets the south end of a long sandy beach.

A block north on the beach is a beach access point called Salmon Street  74 , and seven-ish miles north is the town of Waldport.

A great place to park when exploring the Yachats 804 Trail is Smelt Sands SRS.  One can easily walk the northernmost mile of the trail from there, and if more walking is in order, start the southern section of the trail.
