The beats begin and the music starts flowing to the dance floor where feet are stomping, hips are shaking and arms are pumping.
When 9 p.m. rolls around, nightlife for ages 21 and up starts booming and the bars and nightclubs in downtown Eugene welcome the crowds with
music, drinks, dancing and a whole lot more. From Diablo’s on Pearl Street to Taboo on West Sixth Avenue, the bar entertainment
range includes karaoke, concerts, theme nights, poker, blackjack and dance lessons. It’s time to check in the coat and grab a drink — the
party has just begun.
Each of these establishments offers events and fundraisers as
well. Diablo’s has fundraising for the HIV Alliance,
and Taboo’s Valentine’s Day was a fundraiser for Planned
Parenthood. Diablo’s and Taboo are booking concerts
of well-known artists like Too Short. Rock 'N' Rodeo and Joggers
host special events for holidays too. There’s always something
going on during the week in Eugene nightlife. Keep an open
ear and eye though, because new events, fundraisers, and holidays
are sparking special nights in these clubs all the time.
One of the best part for clubbers going to these establishments
is location. The clubs are five blocks or less from one another.
Let loose, have fun, be safe and enjoy!
