Hello, and welcome to our site. We are happy you want to check us out and see what may be available for your family. Since we primarily serve UO student families, we schedule children term-by-term, in accordance with UO class registration. This is different than most child care providers, in that we do not keep an on-going waitlist. Each term that you are intested in being offered care, or being on our waiting list, you need to complete that term's application form. UO student families are served first. Then, if any room is still available, space is offered to UO employee families and then to community families. |

Applications & waitlist info | A UO student at Moss Street is someone who is seeking a degree, taking credits and paying incidental fees. We are here to serve you first! Removing child care as a barrier to attending UO classes is our primary goal. Moss Street is close to your on-campus classes, our staff to child ratios are low and we have more flexibility in scheduling than in a traditional child care setting. Once enrolled, and as long as you remain a UO student, you will be given priority for scheduling of available spaces. And, for each term that you are working toward a degree by being enrolled in incidental fee-paying classes, you will also receive the discounted UO student rate. When taking one term off during a given academic year, you will still receive priority scheduling, but you will pay the higher, non-UO student rate for that term.

You were offered care because, after placing current and new UO student families, we still had space available. Continuity of care is important to families, children and our staff. Thus, once offered space for your child, you can expect to be offered the same, or similar, hours for the rest of that academic year. The academic year runs Fall through Spring, so if you start care Fall or Winter term, you will have an offer of care through Spring term of that same academic year. You will also be able to submit a summer term-only application, if wanted. Then, to start the new academic year in September, space will again be given to UO student families first. Because we always try to serve as many UO students as possible, at the beginning of an academic year, it can often be difficult to get into Moss Street- especially for the Littles (03-24mos), Middles (24-26mos) and Preschool (3-5yrs) age groups. Often, more space exists in our after-school program (K-5th), for UO employee and community families, after all students have been served. |
