Our project surrounds the Springfield Mill Race Restoration Project. The team efforts will be focused primarily on a public education outreach program. Our team will work in conjunction with the City of Springfield and the Springfield Utility Board (SUB) staff to complete a series of goals:

  • Produce a brochure for mass mailing to the citizens of Springfield as part of the outreach program.
  • Create various educational posters about the history, flora and fauna and the future of the Mill Race, as related to the restoration project.
  • Present a condensed version of tOhe Mill Race restoration project as a presentation in the Springfield middle schools and high schools.
  • Participate in the organization of a “Friends of the Mill Race” program to educate and involve the citizens of Springfield with the restoration project, including a public meeting and a community clean up day.
