About Us:

Welcome to the University of Oregon's Post-Professional Athletic Training Master's Program. The Program Director is Dr. Grace Golden.

This graduate program is designed to meet the needs of students who are creative, self-motivated and who possess a clear vision of their goals and aspirations.

Success in this program demands solid undergraduate preparation in athletic training and the supporting disciplines of anatomy, physiology, biology, chemistry, and physics.

Please take a moment to look through our program goals.

An outline of our program curriculum for our Masters program and class schedule example across a 2-year period are available here on our website to view.

If you are a certified athletic trainer and interested in pursuing a challenging academic program, complemented by hands-on athletic training experiences and an opportunity to work and study with great people, this program may well be the perfect fit for you.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to facilitate the development of athletic training professionals with advanced clinical skills, who ask and seek answers to unique scholarly questions via original research as they integrate new knowledge into their evolving clinical philosophy. The result is clinicians who self assess, critically evaluate new ideas, think creatively, and integrate scientific evidence into clinical practice.

Who Should Apply:

You should apply if you are a certified athletic trainer (or will be by August) who has strong academic, clinical and personal skills and is looking for advanced education in your field. We are looking for applicants with strong written and verbal communication skills, who are independent and critical thinkers, and who work well with other people both in the classroom and in the athletic training room... Being nice and funny is always an added plus.

Be sure to look carefully through our applications procedures and ensure that your completed application has reached us by December 7th, for the upcoming Fall term.

Unforunately, this program is not accepting applications for Fall 2021.

Our Town:

Eugene may be a perfect fit for you, too.  It is a beautiful town an hour from the coast, a couple of hours from two major ski resorts, and minutes from wonderful hiking trails.  The McKenzie River is excellent for rafting.  The Shedd, Wow Hall and Hult Center provide diverse and exciting culture to the mix.  Plus, the people of Eugene are friendly. Life is good in Eugene.

Browse through our website and check things out.  Send us an e-mail.  We look forward to hearing from you.

You must be a certified Athletic Trainer (not certified? Find programs here)
